I have spent 30 years in the chicken industry, growing both chicken broilers and producing hatching eggs. During that time we doubled our production about 3 times. After my Nuffield we were alerted to direct marketing and operated a deli and take out retail chicken store for 7 years. We were probably 10 years ahead of our time as now operations like that are the in thing. I also spent over 10 years involved in chicken politics, both at the provincial and the national levels. In the summer of 2005 we sold we sold our chicken quota, and now want to spend more time with the grandchildren coming on the scene and having time to tour with foreign scholars.
