Georgia Lewis

Raised in the Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia, Georgia worked on various operations during her upbringing, including cranberries, potatoes, and small veg. After graduating from the Dalhousie Faculty of Agriculture with a degree in Environmental Sciences in 2014, she worked as a certified crop advisor in Southern Alberta until 2018 and then focused on cannabis agronomy in Nova Scotia until 2022. Throughout this period, she engaged in independent agronomic work, courses, and projects in Canadian agriculture. In 2024, Georgia completed her master’s degree at Dalhousie Faculty of Agriculture, where she conducted a life cycle assessment on dehydrated poultry manure manufacturing in Eastern Canada. 


Currently, she serves as the technical lead for the On-Farm Climate Action Fund (OFCAF) program for Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador with Perennia Food and Agriculture. Georgia is passionate about recycling nutrients in agricultural systems and understanding their environmental and economic impacts. She is also an active member of the Nova Scotia Institute of Agrologists, where she will be the president-elect for 2025. Outside of work, Georgia enjoys home projects, gardening, cooking, and exploring the outdoors and local food and drinks with her family and friends.
